you should have shuffle two shadas in the deck then pokegear and add one, suffle roaring and leave 2 energy in the graveyard, use shada and charge your roarings, keep the energy in hand, next turn even if they iono you, you still had a chance to draw the other shada, and with the low count on your deck, it was very probable you would draw it. Penny gets so much hype in this deck, but people forgot you can just simply keep one energy in hand and manually retreat next turn, that's the point of playing only 1 retreat cost mons.

Pretty sure that msot peopel excited about great tree are gardevoir and dragapult players, because those are the only stage 2 decks taht run multiple coppiest of their middle forms. Meowscarada could also get a little buff by great tree.

I'm thinking that stage 2 decks generally won't play the tree. It's usable by the opponent so if you don't vacuum it you're getting one use out of it. It does provide extra consistency but I feel that in order for it to be optimal you'd need to really think outside the box...or maybe inside the box? This could provide a way to consistenly play stage 2s in Lost Zone.

Wow, that's some crazy changes. I can see why they made the changes, but it does seem to favor those that have the time and money to attend all these events. I know a lot of good players and sadly they will miss out not because they are not good, but the system seems like it will favor those able to travel and pay for all the events (hotels, flights, registration, time off work etc).

I love the idea of the great tree stadium!!! I can see that being a fun and cheeky way to make stage 2 decks more viable. Not sure it’s the best card, but love the idea. Also maybe this will help the horrible nature of single prize stage 2 decks where you could get multiple ones out a game.

If they are going to do this, they should limit it to your own Region's IC. And limit it to t16 per region or something. That way, it is even more exclusive and doesn't reward people with the most time and money, just who does well at one specificevent, like pretty much every other TCG. Regionals already give enough cash prizes as is. Also, situation in latam is bad emough as is. Brazil is a terrible country to hist events due to logistical limitations and distance from central america and Mexico. Even Chile is kinda far from Brazil

Good. People want to be world class competitors but can't be. For whatever reason. And that's ok. It's a world championship. Only the best go. If you have a life or a job that's ok. But that also means you aren't a world class competitor. Nobody mad about 6-2 for day two which shows they aren't even day 2 players.

Top 125 for EU is lucky lol way tougher for NA players to get in that

As somebody who hopes to go to a regional, IC and hopefully worlds one day this is honestly impossible for people who have a full time job and families to achieve that dream.

Wow Oceania is really low, 2.5x the invitations to 25/25/50 would have been better imo.

The world championships are for the best of the best, as cool as it would be. If you have enough money to travel you can get your invite pretty easily

I don't know. This feels like a step backwards. A great part of what made Pokémon appealing in comparison to YGO or other games was that you actually had a chance of going to Worlds playing locally. Sure, it wasn't easy, but it was possible to get an invite without going crazy. This makes it pretty much impossible while staying local. The nerf to Cups and Challenges pretty much kills local play.

Im glad i dont have to visit legues or cups. I can now play expanded and not competetive.

Harder? No it’s legit impossible for people who have lives and families outside of pokemon. This favors the people who play the tcg and do content creation that do this for a living. It’s basically your 125 players who hit the most events

I think this is absolutely bad for growth of the game, even heyday mtg (no idea what their structure is now) where you did PTQs and GPs was way better than this. This feels like a big step backwards. Yes you're probably getting better top matches on stream but this completely kills the fringe players that could break out. Also, folks that are good but just don't have cash flow to travel (id reckon most folks). The region caps are especially bonkers to me. Good players will always sift themselves out. So the argument that you're not getting the best overall in current format doesn't hold that much water to me. Winners win. No one gets "lucky" for that many rounds, that often.
